General Guidelines for Posting an Image Due to the fact that images currently can only be created by individuals with specific hardware/software, posts will be of images created by release groups.
All images prior to being posted should be viral scanned, CRC tested and preferably burn tested for operation.
Original release RAR's are preferred otherwise should be marked as "Repackaged".
The NFO and SFV files should be the first 2 files in a post. This allows for the downloader to see if it is an image of interest and verify the files as they are incoming.
When posting archives you should post in line segments of around 5,000 lines. This allows for better propogation among news servers.
In Power Post 2000 you simply goto View -> Program Settings -> Program and change the "Default Max Lines Per Part" to "5000".
In Agent to enable this, go to Group -> Default Properties -> Send Files tab and check "Send large messages as multiple messages" and set "Maximum bytes per section" to 314111 (just under 5,000 lines).
Full image posts should have headers that begin with "Image - *Game Name*" while fills and reposted parts should begin with "Parts - *Game Name* - *Part Numbers*". For example a full post should look like:
"DC Image - Street Fighter Alpha 3 File 1 of 30 - SFA3.NFO"
Or a patch/fix should look like:
"DC Patch/Fix - Street Fighter Alpha 3 PAL Fix File 1 of 1 - SFA3PALFix.001"
Or a part fill should look like:
"DC Parts - Street Fighter Alpha 3 - 3,9,17 File 1 of 3 - SFA3.003"
Most importantly if you dont know ask in the .d groups. No one will be flamed for asking a legitimate question.
